LMI Co. was established in 1959 as the first ductile iron producer in Iran, in order to manufacture cast iron pipes and fittings for pipes water supply applications.
LMI is also known as the first ductile iron producer in Iran since 1967.
currently, LMI is one of the big ductile iron manufacturer in Middle East with annual capacity of 140,000MT, and like Japanese and Chinese
factories, stands at one of the Mega Factories in production of large diameter pipes in Asia and Africa.
Now, LMI Co. has two active plants in Ductile Iron Pipes, Fittings, Valves, Boilers and Heavy Weight Casting.

Factory No. 1 (TapeSefid Factory) is located at km 10 of Saveh Road (Chahardangeh). In this factory, pipes and fittings are made of ductile iron with a diameter of 100 to 1000 mm and a capacity of 70,000 tons per year, butterfly valve with a diameter of 150 to 2000 mm, non-return valve with a diameter of 200 to 800 mm, gate valve with a diameter of 50 to 300 mm and air valve are produced from 25 to 200 mm in diameter with a capacity of 3,000 tons per year and heavy parts up to 25 tons with a capacity of 2,500 tons per year.
Factory No. 2 (ShamsAbad Factory) with an area of more than 200,000 square meters is located at the Tehran-Qom highway in Shamsabad Industrial Town. At present, this factory produces ductile iron pipes with a diameter of 1100 to 2000 mm. Also in this factory, using the advanced molding technology of george fisher, cast iron boilers with MI3 brand in four models S90, Super M90, L90 and Hyper with a heat capacity of 30,000 to 1,203,000 kcal per hour and a capacity of 15,000 tons per year and Customized small size cast iron parts are produced.
Complementary operations of production valves in factory number one are also performed in this factory. The current capacity of the unit in ShamsAbad is equal to 110,000 tons per year.
